UAE and Malaysia Collaborate to Protect Endangered Malayan Tigers

In January 2025, the UAE and Malaysia signed an agreement to bolster efforts to protect endangered Malayan tigers. The collaboration includes a US$22 million grant from the Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund to support the Al-Sultan Abdullah Royal Tiger Reserve, adjacent to Taman Negara National Park. This initiative underscores both nations’ commitment to environmental sustainability and wildlife conservation.
